Nicola and Judith debate business goals and expectations and why results from our marketing efforts are mostly always slower than we would all like. We all want to “set the world on fire” but success comes from plugging away, persistence and never giving up.
In the Show..
Nicola’s big news is that she’s staying on in Stoupa! Her next door neighbours have offered her their place on an indefinite rental and it has better wifi than her current home out there, always a boon. Judith’s digitizing her snail mail and waxing evangelical about continued good results on her low carb for life eating plan, another 13lbs lost in the 8.5 weeks since Christmas Day. In cutting her addiction to carbs, she really feels she has tackled what has been her lifelong insolution problem to date.
- What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Judith’s chuffed by the gently upward trend in her own accounts and Nicola’s enjoying working her way through Taki Moore’s Million Dollar Coach program.
- Client Challenge of the Week
Nicola brings her own challenge of wanting to “set the world on fire” and talks about her desire to set goals and expectations -v- the fear of not achieving them, or at least not achieving them overnight in the instant/very short timeframe that everyone wants. If progress in your business and with your own marketing efforts is slower than you might like, what should you do? How to really love, be confident about and believe in your offerings, dig in for victory and find the will to keep on keeping on, taking heart from your little wins along the way.
- Words of the Week
Nicola brings Comparisonitis and Judith chooses Fortitude.
- Project Updates – all about the Podcast
No big news this week but yet more examples on main message for this week’s show about keeping on keeping on – overnight results are not always immediately visible but rather there is a gently upward trend on all measurables.
- Who or What’s Impressed?
Nicola talks about Elias Hontzeas and the trust he’s fostered in his local community of Stoupa over twenty years as a house builder and businessman. Judith spills the beans she’s learned about Ray Kroc from watching The Founder, a movie which gives another version of the McDonalds story; she’s impressed, but not in a good way.
