What’s the best way to follow-up with potential clients and how often is enough? Do you chase, or allow new clients to come when the time is right for them?
In the Show..
Nicola’s just back from her beloved Stoupa in Greece and Judith’s been enjoying the English summer, both embracing the art of dolce far niente (the sweetness of doing nothing).
- What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Nicola is thrilled to report that the Own It! podcast is up to 1,000 downloads a month. And Judith’s been studying luck with authors Richard Wiseman and Matt Kinsella.
- Client Challenge of the Week
When do you know if you’ve done enough follow-up with potential new clients? If you chase, do your prospects simply run away from you? Would it be better to allow clients to come to you when they are ready? Simple light touch systems could be the solution.
Nicola’s recommends Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff
- J&N Project Updates
Nicola is inducting a new client from Australia for Clicks & Leads who is happy to pay what she’s worth and equally happy to commit to her new terms of 3 month’s minimum paid up front to deter cold feet. Judith’s networking project (scratchcards online) moved from pre-launch to soft launch on 21st July but there are still plenty of teething problems to be resolved prior to launch proper on 15th September.

- Who or What’s Impressed?
Nicola was really happy to see lots of hard working people in Stoupa and the local business owners in their tourist industry reinvesting in better infrastructure which stretched as far as the loos but not yet, apparently, to plentiful WiFi or effective mosquito deterrents! She met lots of impressive migrant workers who would walk across hot sand to bring you a relaxing drink to cool you down.
Judith praised people who are elegant in adversity, quoting Rudyard Kipling’s If: “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you…”
