In the Show..

Nicola’s invested in a call with an admired mentor and now she’s in two minds whether or not to follow his advice. And Judith is supposed to be on Digital Detox Friday but is interrupting it to get a couple of extra Own It! shows in the bag to cover for Nicola’s upcoming US trip.

  • What’s Fuelled Their Fire?

Nicola is thrilled that Own It” the Podcast’s download numbers have increased enormously in January, achieving more in a week than previously in a month. She’s intrigued because she can’t work out why. Judith revisits EFT/Tapping, thanks to  a lovesick client, and she remembers how fast and effective it can be for everything from heartache to a headache.

  • Client Opportunity of the Week

Nicola mentioned it first, then Judith’s client Sam, then Judith went and got wholly over-excited about the potential of Gumroad and how to be paid to do your own business marketing. If you create digital content, you must listen to this and then checkout what Gumroad can do for you, including finding you audience for you if your own list is, as yet, small.

  • Words of the Week

Judith opts for Rotation and Nicola explains her choice of Validation.

  • Project Updates

Nicola’s mentor’s advice was to take her prices off her website so as to attract higher-paying clients who might be put off by her solopreneur pricing. N discovers she’s in two minds. Judith’s finding new applications of her Conversations offering, now testing the new name of Big Talk on her website. She also explains how Big Talk might work instead for those clients who are exhausted by the constant “onwards” energy of coaching.

  • Who or What’s Impressed?

Nicola reminds listeners about Gary Vee and why he might be a contender for J&N’s ironic High Achievers Downtime Club. Judith tells the story of Alice the artist who found a new way to sell her pictures – and fast too. This story reminds us why a preparedness to experiment in any business is vital.
