This week’s podcast challenge is about messy feelings. Are you one of life’s over-achievers who does too much, is never satisfied and cannot relax? Or are you on the other side of the see-saw, feeling like you do too little and perhaps that you haven’t got what it takes to be successfully self-employed?
In the Show..
Nicola’s podcasting from the Waldorf in London, visiting to see Gary Vee with her daughter Phoebe. And Judith’s excited about moving on, having found an estate agent she can work with and a possible new home too.
- What’s Fuelled Their Fire?
Instagram, little dogs in woolly jumpers, First World nutrition for dogs, being invited to be a guest on other people’s podcasts, new clients and fresh energy.
- Client Challenge of the Week
Learning to own and run your own business is a hero’s journey where you are obliged and challenged daily to learn more about yourself faster than when you just have a J.O.B. Are you too much or too little? Are you one of life’s over-achievers who never feels she does enough? Or do you fear you don’t have what it takes? Either way it’s just how you feel about things, not necessarily the absolute truth. Tips for coming down from the place of exhaustion and doing too much and advice about dialling it up when you are doing too little to get the job done and achieve the success you seek. The secret lies in self-esteem and knowing you are enough either way, and that you don’t have to earn self-esteem, it just is. It’s time to decide to separate your sense of self worth from your business outcomes.
- Words of the Week
In the context of this week’s challenge, Judith opts for Effort (how much or how little) and Nicola chooses Spontaneity, that which took her to London with her daughter.
- Project Updates
Nicola’s outsourcing everything and Judith’s new Mums JV project is on Easter holidays. Don ‘t they come round fast!
- Who or What’s Impressed?
Judith’s impressed by her cleaner from Bulgaria, where she is an engineer, now in London to earn money to support elderly poorly parents back home. Her attitude will take her a long way in life. And NIcola’s love affair with Gary Vee continues; this week she’s impressed by how he works a crowd, making contact with each person individually in a meaningful way.
