Women’s Leadership coach Sue talks to Own It! about women’s leadership, equal rights, women’s issues etc., and how she handles it when someone always asks “what about men?” This question can put down women and silence their voices. It is hostile and stifles debate.

In The Show

It was Nicola’s birthday this week and she describes her stash of gifts and her celebrations in a Greek restaurant in Worthing.

Judith week has included ducks and drakes, month-end accounts and finding yet another new hairdresser.

What’s Fuelled Their Fire?

Judith’s enjoyed some really good conversations in her personal life and Nicola’s been busting more tolerations.

Focus Of The Week

Women’s Leadership coach Sue talks to Own It! about women’s leadership, equal rights, women’s issues etc., and how she handles it when someone always asks “what about men?” This question can put down women and silence their voices. It is hostile and stifles debate.

Sue sees it as a modern curse and she describes herself as fizzing when normally mild mannered. The answer to what about men is “what about them?” leaving the problem to the person who perceives it as such and not taking it on. She explains how to do that elegantly.

Words Of The Week

Nicola chooses NHS and Judith picks Incentive.

Project Updates

Nicola updates the listener on her own marketing, Own It! download numbers and her new project, up and running in two weeks.

Who Or What’s Impressed

Conversely this week Judith has a little niggle with the incentive scheme offered by the nationwide chain who service her car and how it appears to work better for them than for her. Nicola is impressed by software called Geo Directory.
